Life at Mediterra on Livingston Parkway in North Naples is all about choices. Landscaped streetscapes, water features, a clubhouse that anchors the community’s amenity core, and residences set against golf course, preserve and water views all speak to Mediterra’s award-winning history.
Recently named recipient of The Collier Building Industry Association’s Sand Dollar Award for Community of the Year Over $1 Million for the 11th time in 15 years, Mediterra’s acclaimed array of amenities offers the possibility of living a healthy, active lifestyle with numerous opportunities to connect with other residents or to reconnect with oneself through quiet moments of reflection.
Mediterra’s grand 25,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style clubhouse is a favored gathering place offering formal and informal dining, the Tavern outdoor lounge experience, and an inviting outdoor open-air terrace with fire pits that overlooks the 18th holes of the community’s two Tom Fazio-designed championship golf courses.
The clubhouse offers an engaging atmosphere where informal attire, including jeans, is always welcomed. Under the direction of Carmen Mauceri, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and winner of the American Culinary Federation Award of Excellence and Chef de Cuisine for a Presidential Dinner, The Club at Mediterra’s dining options offer a varied menu with unique concepts that include a “doctor’s orders” menu with a selection of healthy items.
A 24,000-square-foot clubhouse expansion is scheduled to begin in 2018 and will expand the covered outdoor terrace and outdoor lounge areas that have become increasingly popular with Mediterra’s residents. In addition, 7,000 square feet of existing clubhouse space will be enhanced as part of the initiative that is being undertaken without a member assessment.
Consistently rated as one of Naples’ most prestigious golf communities, Mediterra showcases two distinctly different golf courses designed by Tom Fazio. Set against Mediterra’s tableau, the courses weave their way along sparkling lakes, wetlands and nature preserves.
Each of the courses presents distinctive design characteristics and unique challenges for golfers of every skill level. Members also enjoy the benefits of the Golf Learning Center that offers the latest in swing analysis technology and personalized instruction. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to 225 members per 18 holes, allowing for abundant tee times.
If the two Tom Fazio-designed golf courses are the crown jewels of Mediterra, the 10,000-square-foot Mediterra Beach Club on nearby Little Hickory Island is the community’s Holy Grail. The Beach Club was recently remodeled and now conveys “the magic of the beach” with colors reminiscent of the sand and water and South Beach casual elegance.
As part of the renovation, the bar area took on a sportier feeling with large screen televisions. It also morphed into a wine bar overseen by Mediterra’s two sommeliers. An extensive wine list includes 20 wines for $20 per bottle. Carmen Mauceri oversees the Beach Club’s culinary team of executive chef Chris Fragolaand and sous chef Shane Dorey, both of whom are certified chefs de cuisine.
The chefs vary the menu on a regular basis while retaining the diners’ favorites, such as seared ahi tuna with a glass-noodle stir fry and a smoked-chicken pasta offering with sun-dried tomatoes. In addition to casual indoor and al fresco dining, the Beach Club offers an elevated swimming pool with an expansive sundeck and cabana service for beach chairs and umbrellas to accompany members’ enjoyment of the club’s beach and the azure-toned waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Mediterra’s Sports Club is next to the clubhouse at the community’s piazza. A fitness center that was expanded by 3,000 square feet last year is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and offers fitness classes ranging from aerobics to Zumba, wellness programs, personal trainers, aesthetic services, three spa rooms and a swimming pool with a sunning deck and smoothie bar.
The club’s tennis program is acknowledged as one of the top programs in the country. Tennis facilities include a dedicated tennis pro shop and eight Har-Tru tennis courts, including a spectator court.
More than 600 members compete on the club’s bocce ball courts. Historically themed parks and water features are connected by nearly 8 miles of walking and biking trails. The Club recently introduced three pickleball courts that immediately became popular destinations.
Mediterra continues to expand its amenity and new home choices to create a more thoughtful, more relaxed approach to luxury living that reflects the preferences of homebuyers who crave livability, fun and personal connections over the formality of their parents’ country club lifestyle.
More than 60 new home purchase opportunities remain available at Mediterra, including completed and soon-to-be-completed furnished models by Mediterra developer and luxury homebuilder London Bay Homes that feature spacious open floor plans finished with contemporary and transitional interior designs.
Purchasers of homes by London Bay are eligible to secure a full golf membership immediately rather than being placed on the membership waiting list as a Limited Golf Member. London Bay Homes, an award-winning homebuilder and developer in the Southwest Florida luxury home market for more than 25 years, manages all new home construction sales and marketing for Mediterra.
London Bay has transformed Mediterra’s residential product offering with the introduction of new neighborhoods showcasing single-family villa and estate model homes with exterior architectural styles that pay homage to the community’s Mediterranean roots and open, flowing interiors with captivating designs by Romanza Interior Design.
Custom pools and outdoor living areas by London Bay’s Acquatico full-service pool and outdoor living design company overlook long-range water and preserve views. Single-family luxury villas are priced from $1 million in the Cabreo neighborhood, from $1.5 million in Lucarno, and the high $1 millions to the low $3 millions in Caminetto.
Estate home sites in Cortile are priced from $875,000 to $1.35 million and will accommodate residences measuring 4,200 to more than 7,000 square feet. Cortile captures the élan of an idyllic Mediterranean coastal village and also features maintenance-free 3,100- to 6,200-square-foot single-family villas with splendid golf course, lake or preserve views. London Bay’s Bettina model in Cabreo and Catalina model in Cortile won 2017 Sand Dollar Awards for Interior Design of the Year Single Family Detached Homes in their respective categories.
